- Restored 100% of Bargaining and Statutory Rights for Denver’s Teachers
Passed policy returning collective bargaining rights and TECDA tenure protections to 100% of teachers in innovation schools. [read the article here]

In partnership with former School Board Member, Jennifer Bacon, DPS saw the creation of Colorado’s first school principals union – the Denver School Leader Association. [read the article here]
- Protected the DPS Division of PERA Against Longterm Cuts
Drafted and passed policy preventing DPS from reducing employer PERA contributions below levels required to meet 2037 full-funding obligations – protecting workers’ retirements. [read the policy here]
- Testified Against SB22-197 Which Weakened Collective Voice
I testified against legislation that would have expanded Innovation Zones and weakened collective bargaining protections. [read the article here]
- Minimum Wage Increased by Over 25% for Denver’s Paraprofessionals
Worked to increase minimum wages for paraprofessionals from $15.87/hour to $20/hour putting real money in workers’ pockets. [read the article here]
- Ended Student Test-Score Bonus Schemes
Advocated to prohibit performance bonuses tied to student standardized test scores – rejecting punitive, corporate-style pay models. [read the article here]
